Course Outline

All persons 14 years of age or older must obtain a Harvest Information Program (HIP) permit annually before hunting migratory game birds in Wyoming.

  • The migratory game birds included in the program are coots, cranes, doves, ducks, geese, mergansers, rails, and snipes.
  • Even persons registered for HIP in another state must have a permit for Wyoming before hunting migratory birds or waterfowl in this state.
  • To get a new HIP permit, go to the WGFD HIP Permit website.
