This course is open to students regardless of age. After completing the online portion of the course, students must attend an in-person Hunter Internet Field Day to be certified.

Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Requirements

Important! All Wisconsin recreational safety students are required to obtain a Wisconsin DNR Customer ID Number.

You can obtain a DNR Customer ID Number here.

There is no minimum age requirement to take this online course.

You do not have to be a resident of Wisconsin to take this online course.

After This Course

After passing the online portion of the course, you are required to attend the Hunter Internet Field Day to complete your hunting safety certification.

Locate and sign up for the Hunter Internet Field Day in your area.

Important! Bring your Online Course Completion Certificate to the Hunter Internet Field Day as proof of having completed the online portion of the course.

How do I get my Wisconsin Hunter Education Safety Certificate?

1. Pre-Register for the Hunter Internet Field Day

Go to https://gowild.wi.gov/customers/safetyedclass and sign up for an instructor-led Hunter Internet Field Day.

Important! Bring your Hunter Internet Field Day Online Course Completion Voucher to the Hunter Internet Field Day as proof of having completed the online course.

You must pre-register for the Hunter Internet Field Day before beginning the online course.

2. Study and pass the online course.

Study and pass the $0 course. Throughout the Wisconsin Hunter Ed Course, you’ll be tested on what you’ve learned.

3. Get your Wisconsin Hunter Education Safety Certificate.

You’ll receive your permanent Hunter Education Safety Certificate after successfully completing the Hunter Internet Field Day.
