You need hunter education if you plan to hunt alone with a firearm, you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1967, or you are 16 years of age or older.

How do I get my Conservation Heritage Card?

1. Study and pass the online course.

Study and pass the $15.00 course. Throughout the Missouri Hunter Ed Course, you’ll be tested on what you’ve learned.

2. Sign up for and attend the Hunter Education Skills Session.

Immediately print out your Hunter Education Skills Session Qualifier Certificate, which you will need to bring with you to the Hunter Education Skills Session. You need to locate and sign up for the Hunter Education Skills Session. To sign up, go to

Remember: Passing the online course does not guarantee you a spot at the Hunter Education Skills Session.

3. Get your Conservation Heritage Card.

You’ll receive your permanent Conservation Heritage Card after successfully completing the Hunter Education Skills Session. The Conservation Heritage Card will be mailed to you.
