Do you need New York education?

You need education to buy a hunting license in New York if you are at least 12 years old, unless you show proof of having held a license previously.

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Requirements

You must be at least 11 years old to take a New York Hunter Education Course.

You do not have to be a resident of New York to take the homework.
