A map of Arizona showing RAA sites

The Voluntary Public Access and Habitat Improvement Program has put all of the recreation access information into a user-friendly website allowing you to see where the lands Randy Newberg and Al Eiden discussed in the previous segment.

Additional information on access is defined in A.R.S. 17-304 Prohibition by landowner on hunting; posting; exception.

Recreational Access Arizona 2.0 (RAA)

Learn where to explore: https://azaccessmap.com/. RAA is meant to display the Department’s efforts in securing recreational access opportunities in Arizona.

Before you apply for a big game hunt it is a good idea to research the land access for that unit. Some units might have limited access for some species. For example, Unit 30A is over 51% private, resulting in limited opportunities for many hunters.
