Course Outline

Hunters often use boats to access hunting areas or as shooting platforms when targeting waterfowl. Weather conditions are often difficult. The day often begins and ends in darkness. Because of the added risk factors, it is important for hunters to approach the day, not as a hunter who uses a boat but rather as a boater who happens to hunt. The shift in thinking is not huge but it helps to keep the risks associated with boating up front where they can be planned for and dealt with.

If you hunt using a boat, consider taking a boating education course: https://www.azgfd.com/education/boating/.
