Important! All Wisconsin recreational safety students are required to obtain a Wisconsin DNR Customer ID Number.

You can obtain a DNR Customer ID Number here.

There is no minimum age requirement to take this online course.

You do not have to be a resident of Wisconsin to take this online course.

After This Course

Go to https://gowild.wi.gov/lookupaccount. Your permanent Hunter Education Safety Certificate will be available for printing from your WI DNR Student Dashboard a week from the next Monday. If you have any questions, please contact the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources at 1-888-936-7463.

How do I get my Wisconsin Hunter Education Safety Certificate?

Important:

The steps below apply to the online-only course available to those who are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18 years of age or are interested in the Hunter Internet Field Day option, click here.

1. Study and pass the online course.

Study and pass the $24.50 online-only course, and pay a $10.00 state fee. Throughout the course, you’ll be tested on what you’ve learned.

2. Print your Online Only Hunter Education Course Completion Certificate.

After successfully completing the online course, you’ll be able to immediately print out your Online Only Hunter Education Course Completion Certificate.

3. Get your Wisconsin Hunter Education Safety Certificate.

Go to https://gowild.wi.gov/lookupaccount. Your permanent Hunter Education Safety Certificate will be available for printing from your WI DNR Student Dashboard a week from the next Monday. If you have any questions, please contact the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources at 1-888-936-7463.
