Here are other components for cable devices.

  • Support Wire: Attached to the cable and inserted into the ground, the support wire should be rigid enough to hold the cable device in the proper location.
  • Anchor: Earth anchors and stakes are types of anchors used with cable devices. They are driven into the ground and attached to a cable restraint or snare. For some stronger animals, you should consider cross-staking two stakes since a single stake may not be strong enough.
  • Cable Support, Whammy, or Stabilizer Tubing: This component secures the cable device to the support wire.
  • Identification Tag: The tag identifies the owner of the cable device.
