After the fire fronts have burned together, complete mop up of the burn unit according to the standards in the burn plan. Mop up helps reduce residual smoke that may impact neighbors and smoke sensitive receptors. Complete documentation of the observations taken during the burn, including weather observations and fire behavior conditions. Designate someone to evaluate the burn in 60-90 days to observe the plant response and to make recommendations to improve the next burn.

Congratulations! You have completed a prescribed burn!
