Course Outline

The key to successful firing is to regulate the heat from a firing operation. Heat must be regulated so there is always control of the burn regardless of the pattern(s) being laid down or the speed at which the burn is carried out. Controlling heat and rate of spread are important in achieving the objectives of the burn. The information below summarizes several different firing techniques and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
