Giving Away Wildlife

A hunter who takes and possesses wildlife legally may give it to another person only if the hunter has completed the day’s hunt.

• All wild game must be plainly labeled with the full name, address, and permit number of the taker as well as with the species and the date taken.
• Deer and turkey must include the telecheck confirmation number.
• Wildlife received as a gift is included in the possession limit of the recipient.
