Who Needs Hunter Safety Education?
State Law Anyone 11 to 15 years old who hunts alone with a firearm in Missouri. Anyone at least 16 years old and born after Dec. 31, 1966, who buys a firearms season hunting permit.

This official training program is developed to meet the standards for hunter training established by the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA-USA).
Read each unit. The units are organized to form building blocks of information. Each unit will help you understand the information in the next units.
This official training program will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to be a safe and responsible hunter in Missouri.
Pass the 9 Unit Quizzes
As you progress through the course, you’ll be given the opportunity to demonstrate how well you’re understanding the hunter safety topics by taking a quiz at the end of each unit.
You’ll need to score 60% or greater on the unit quiz before moving on to the next unit.
If you don’t pass a unit quiz, that’s no problem. You’ll just go back and take the quiz as many times as you need to pass it.
The Hunter Education Skills Session Qualifier Certificate
After passing all the unit quizzes with a score of 60% or greater you will have demonstrated successful mastery of the classroom portion of the Missouri hunter safety course material, and you will receive your Hunter Education Skills Session Qualifier Certificate.
You will bring your Hunter Education Skills Session Qualifier Certificate to the Hunter Education Skills Session as proof of having completed and passed the online course.
After Passing the Online Course…
After passing the online course, you are required to attend the Missouri Department of Conservation Hunter Education Skills Session to complete your hunter education certification.
