This official training program is developed to meet the standards for hunter training established by the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA-USA).

Read each unit. The units are organized to form building blocks of information. Each unit will help you understand the information in the next units.

This official training program will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to be a safe and responsible hunter in Mississippi.

Pass the 9 Unit Quizzes

As you progress through the course, you’ll be given the opportunity to demonstrate how well you’re understanding the hunter safety topics by taking a quiz at the end of each unit.

You’ll need to score 80% or greater on the unit quiz before moving on to the next unit.

If you don’t pass a unit quiz, that’s no problem. You’ll just go back and take the quiz as many times as you need to pass it.

The Online Course Completion Certificate

After passing all the unit quizzes with a score of 80% or greater you will have demonstrated successful mastery of the classroom portion of the Mississippi hunter safety course material, and you will receive your Online Course Completion Certificate.

You will bring your Online Course Completion Certificate to the Final Classroom Course as proof of having completed and passed the online course.

After Passing the Online Course…

After passing the online course, you are required to attend the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Final Classroom Course to complete your hunter education certification.
