Idaho Online Hunter Safety Course and Hunting License Test

STOP!  Read this before proceeding!  You must complete the Online Hunter Safety Course BEFORE registering for a Field Day.  You will need your Online Hunter Safety Course exam completion certificate number to register for a Field Day.  Field Days can fill quickly and completion of this online course does not guarantee you a spot at a Field Day. Please check on availability and register for a Field Day immediately upon successful completion of the Online Hunter Safety Course.

Two Study Options

Study Online, Then Get Your License

• Learn about hunter responsibility and ethics
• Discover how firearms work and learn about firearm safety
• Improve your wildlife identification, game care, survival and first aid skills
• Develop firearm handling skills and hunting techniques
• Increase awareness about wildlife conservation and management
• For students taking the online course and passing the online test, receive your official Idaho Pre-Certification Exam Certificate, a prerequisite for attending an Idaho Hunter Education Program Independent Study Field Day
• Receive your official Certificate of Completion upon successfully meeting all hunting safety course requirements
