Review the following regulations regarding small game.

Pheasant and Grouse (Sharp-tailed Grouse, Ruffed Grouse, or Prairie Chicken)

You must keep one of the following attached to the meat:

  • The head
  • A fully feathered wing
  • A foot

If the game is processed at a wildlife processing facility and accompanied by a receipt or at the home of the processor, the head, wing, or foot does not need to be attached.

Other Game Birds

All other game birds must have an attached fully feathered wing or head unless processed at a wildlife processing facility and accompanied by a receipt.

Pheasant and grouse: Option 1. Fully feathered head attached; Option 2. Fully feathered wing attached; Option 3. One leg and one foot attached
