Fluorescent Orange Clothing

You should know the requirements for wearing fluorescent orange when hunting.

Small Game Hunting

When hunting small game, you are not legally required but highly encouraged to wear fluorescent orange clothing.

Big Game Hunting

When hunting any big game animal, except turkey or mountain lion, with a firearm, you must wear in a visible manner one or more fluorescent orange exterior garments. The exterior garment must be a hat, cap, shirt jacket, vest, coverall, or poncho worn above the waist.

Archery Hunting

You are not required to wear fluorescent orange when archery hunting.
