Course Outline

Review the following regulations regarding big game.

Deer, Elk, or Antelope

The antelope, deer, or elk (including the boned-out meat) must be accompanied by the animal’s lawfully tagged leg or antler along with either of the following:

  • The animal’s head
  • A hindquarter with the visible external sex organs left naturally attached to it

Note: A person with an Any Deer or Any Elk license must provide only the lawfully tagged leg or antler that accompanies the animal for such license.

Wild Turkey

For wild turkey, you must keep the leg and foot bearing the tag issued with the license either attached to the meat or in your possession after removing the edible portions in the field.

If edible parts are removed in the field, you must also have in your possession the beard along with the leg and foot with the attached tag. Any person with an Any Turkey tag is exempt from transporting the beard.
