The Humboldt-Toiyabe has a Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM), which displays National Forest System roads, trails, and areas that are open to motor vehicle travel. It is the public’s responsibility to reference the MVUM to determine which routes are designated for motor vehicle use. Further, the MVUM will label all designated roads with a road number and provide a map key for any seasonal closures or restrictions for that segment of road.

The Humboldt-Toiyabe MVUM is available for free download and use on mobile devices.

A violation of these regulations is subject to a penalty of not more than $5,000 or 6 months imprisonment, or both.
