Program Introduction

The Hunter Landowner Stewardship Program (HLSP) is a voluntary, online-only educational program that outlines responsible hunter behavior and seeks to build better hunter-landowner relations.

The program includes a series of five videos (and four bonus videos on Montana land stewardship) organized into broad themes, including safety, access programs and tools, personal responsibility, and special considerations for hunting on private land. Multiple choice questions follow the unit and help assess participant knowledge in the above key areas. The unit also provides resource links for further exploration of key topics.
