Course Outline

During some hunting seasons, Nebraska regulations require hunters to wear at least 400 total square inches of hunter orange on their head, chest, and back when hunting big game animals.

The legal methods you may use while hunting depend on the game species and are designed to ensure that your hunting equipment can deliver a clean kill. Always follow the requirements for the type of firearm or archery equipment, ammunition, and any accessories you use.

Before you go hunting, make sure you know Nebraska’s hunting regulations regarding restrictions on shooting, trespassing, fur harvesting, threatened or endangered species, public use facility or activity areas, and vehicle or snowmobile use. If requested, you must show your hunting permit to any person or officer who enforces game laws and regulations.
