In Colorado, it is necessary for hunters to wear above the waist 500 square inches of blaze orange or fluorescent pink clothing in the field if you are hunting big game with any firearm license. A similarly colored hat, visible from 360 degrees, is also required. This rule applies to all muzzleloader hunters and all archery hunters hunting during a rifle season. Clothing must be solidly colored (camo does not qualify). Mesh is legal but not recommended. If your daypack isn’t blaze orange or fluorescent pink, get it a cover so it doesn’t conceal the color on your back.
