Course Outline

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife manages 69 Wildlife Management Areas (WMA’s) across the state. State owned WMA’s provide land holdings for the protection and enhancement of important wildlife habitats that also provide opportunities for all types of public recreation. In general, all of Maine’s WMA’s are open to hunting and trapping activities, unless specified. See the MDIFW website for a full list and map of Maine’s WMA’s at https://maine.maps.arcgis.com/home/index.html.
