Transcript for How to Put On Your Saddle
Jared Shaffer: I’m Jared Shaffer with Tethrd, and this is the different parts of our Ultralock Saddle. So first off, you’ve got the expandable saddle body, and this is a single-panel saddle. You’ve got the lineman’s loops on the side, your bridge loops, your adjustable Amsteel bridge, your adjustable waist belt and buckle, and your adjustable leg straps and buckles.
Most saddles are going to be made of the same parts, whether it’s a Tethrd saddle or a saddle from a different company. Now, you can either step through the saddle or sling the saddle over your head. I like to sling it over my head, so I’m not stepping through the saddle with muddy boots. So, I grab the bridge like this, sling it over my head, and I’m going to grab the top of the saddle so I can position it on my body. I’m going to grab the adjustable waist belt and buckle. I’m going to plug that in just like that. I’m going to reach between my legs, pull up my leg buckles, plug these in on the left and right sides. I’m going to tighten these so they’re just snug, and then I’m going to take and tighten down my adjustable bridge. And I’ll take the loose end and wrap it around and tuck it into the saddle body, just like that.
Now, some saddles come with pockets already installed and some don’t. You’ll notice that ours have rows of MOLLE on the top and the bottom, and that allows you to install pretty much any pocket you would like to store your gear.
