Jared Shaffer: To organize your gear in the tree for saddle hunting, it’s super easy with a Tethrd HYS Strap. So, we’ll go ahead and install that on the tree. I’m a right-handed shooter, so I want my bow on the left side and my backpack on the right side. So, I’m simply going to tighten this down.
Now I can take my pack off, and it’s going to go on the right side on this small, little hook right here. So, it’s good and out of the way. Now I’m going to pull out my Fold N Go and install that onto my HYS Strap. Now, when I pull my bow up, I’ve already got the Fold N Go installed. And I can simply hang my bow from it, and I’m ready to hunt.
Now that we’ve got our pack installed on the tree and our bow hung, we can pull out our comfort accessories like our Knushion. And I can install that on the tree with these simple bungee hooks. Simply put the Knushion onto the tree and then use the hooks on the bungee to hook into the bark.
As a right-handed shooter, everything straight in front of me to straight behind me on my left side is going to be my strong-side shot. So to make that shot, I can simply pick my bow up off the hook. I can pivot at the hips, and I’ve got the shot straight in front of me. And now, by simply pivoting my hips just like this, with my bridge through the carabiner, I can pivot behind me and shoot to my 6 o’clock position.
To shoot to my weak side, I’m going to put my knee in the tree and simply rotate around the tree like this. And I’ve got my weak-side shot right there. Another option for the weak-side shot, I’m going to grab the tether with my right hand. I’m going to pick up on it. As I pick up on that, I’m going to pull the bow under, and then I’m simply going to rotate on the platform with the tether over my left shoulder. That’s going to hold me against the tree and allow me to shoot that weak-side shot super easy.
