When choosing an elevated hunting location:

  • Place the elevated hunting system adjacent to game trails or where game sign is abundant.
  • Place the system no higher than necessary.
  • Never place the system in a dead tree, in trees with large overhanging dead limbs, or on or near utility poles.
  • When using a tree stand or climber, select only trees that are straight.
  • Locate the system downwind from the animals’ expected route.
  • Never place systems on fence lines or near another landowner’s property.
