Hunting platform on a tree with hunter standing on it

Once you have reached your preferred hunting height and are ready to set up for hunting, you will first need to attach your hunting platform to the tree. Make sure you are attached to the tree with both your lineman belt AND your tether for two layers of safety before touching your platform.

  1. Carefully retrieve your platform from your pack or where it is attached on your saddle.
  2. Before unfolding the platform, place the back of it against the tree where you want to rest your feet comfortably.
  3. Press the tree bracket firmly against the tree bark.
  4. Ensure that one of the attachment loops at the end of the strap is attached to the platform button in the center, and pass the free end of the attachment strap around the tree, securing the second attachment loop to the button.
  5. Tighten the attachment strap as tight as possible with the platform base in the folded or upright position.
  6. Once tightened, you can now push the platform base down until it is fully extended and parallel to the ground. While doing this, also put significant pressure on the top of the platform’s post to apply tension to the strap for security.
  7. Your tether MUST be attached before you climb onto the platform and place your weight on it. Failure to keep yourself secured to the tree by the tether can result in a fall or injury while testing the platform.
  8. ONLY once you have your tether secured and your platform safely installed can you unhook your lineman belt and store away for later when you are ready to descend the tree.
