The TWRA manages over 100 Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) and refuges in Tennessee.

  • All WMAs are open to the public for various outdoor activities.
  • Some WMAs are open during statewide hunting seasons. When hunting in one of these WMAs, you must:
    • Have a WMA permit and...
    • Follow the season dates, bag limits, and equipment regulations for the county where the WMA is located.

Maps for each of the WMAs in Tennessee are available on the TWRA website. The website also gives more detailed information on permit requirements and exceptions.
