After you register, you’ll pay the $24.50 exam fee, and then you’ll have one attempt to pass the Colorado Hunter Education Test-Out Exam. You must score 90% or better and you must complete the exam in 30 minutes or less.

Creating an account with hunter-ed.com allows you to leave the course when necessary and pick up where you left off when you log back in.

You must be at least 50 years of age or U.S. military personnel (active duty, reserves, veterans, or National Guard) to register for this exam. If you are 50 or older, you will be required to enter the Colorado Customer Identification (CID) Number assigned to YOU to take this exam.

You may also visit any Colorado Parks and Wildlife office or call the main number at 303-297-1192, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. MST. (If you have purchased any license from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, your CID number is printed on it.)
