The additional components you use with your FAS full-body harness depend on what you are doing and what type of stand you are using.

If You Are... You Should...
Installing climbing aids for a hang-on stand Wear your FAS with a lineman’s-style belt (or climbing belt).
Installing a lifeline system Wear your FAS with a lineman’s-style belt (or climbing belt).
Installing a climbing stand Wear your FAS with a lineman’s-style belt (or climbing belt).
Installing a hang-on stand Wear your FAS with a lifeline system (recommended) or with a lineman’s-style belt.
Installing a ladder stand Wear your FAS with a lifeline system (recommended) or with a lineman’s-style belt.
Climbing up or down the tree and are not using a lifeline system Wear your FAS with a lineman’s-style belt (or climbing belt).
Climbing up or down the tree and are using a lifeline system Wear your FAS with the lifeline system.
