New Hampshire Hunter Field Day Information

In order to complete the hunter education requirements for New Hampshire, you must pass both the online and Field Day portions of the Hunter Ed Safety Course curriculum.

Follow the steps below to complete the certification process.

  1. Before Completing and Paying for the Online Course…

Since Field Day options are limited, please ensure that a Field Day is offered in your area before taking the online exam. View the NHFGD Field Day schedule.

Field Days can fill quickly and completion of this online course does not guarantee you a spot at a Field Day.

  2. Sign-up for a Field Day…

After completing the online course and passing the final exam, you will be given a link that allows you to register online for a Field Day.

  3. Attend the Field Day

Bring your Field Day Qualifier Certificate to the Field Day. You must attend ONLY the field day for which you are registered. At the Field Day, you will participate in a practical skills test and live fire exercise, attend a presentation on New Hampshire game laws, and take a written exam (score 80% or better to pass). Note: If you do not attend the Field Day for which you are registered, you will automatically fail the course. At that point, you will need to re-take the online course and exam, in order to generate a new Field Day Qualifier Certificate and register for another Field Day.
