You must pass both the online and Final Classroom Course portions of the Hunting education course in order to complete the Mississippi Hunting education requirements.

Locating and Signing Up for the Final Classroom Course

After passing the online portion of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Hunting education course, you will need to locate and sign up for the required Final Classroom Course.

Important! Bring your Online Course Completion Certificate to the Final Classroom Course as proof of having completed the online course.

Warning! Passing the online course does not guarantee you a spot at the Final Classroom Course.

What to Expect at the Final Classroom Course

This is 4–6 hours, depending on the number of students attending and will include:

  • a classroom session
  • outdoor shooting
  • blood trailing
  • demonstrations of tree stand safety
  • survival skills

Most of the classroom topics will pertain to Mississippi-specific regulations and issues that are not covered in this online course. Be sure to have proper clothing for the outdoor sessions.

After attending and passing the Final Classroom Course portion of the Hunting education requirement, you will receive your Hunter Education Completion Card.
