Locating and Signing Up for the Final Classroom Course
If you are under 16 years of age, you will need to locate and sign up for the required Final Classroom Course after passing the online portion of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks hunter education course.
Locate and sign up for the Final Classroom Course in your area. If you have any questions about the Final Classroom Course requirement, please call 601-432-2400.
Important! Bring a picture ID and your Online Course Completion Certificate to the Final Classroom Course as proof of having completed the online course.
Warning! Passing the online course does not guarantee you a spot at the Final Classroom Course.
What to Expect at the Final Classroom Course
This is a 3 hour classroom session that will include:
- Firearm handling and safety
- Firearm safety in the home
- Treestand safety
- Final exam
Other topics may also pertain to Mississippi-specific regulations and issues that are not covered in this online course.
After attending and passing the Final Classroom Course portion of the Hunting education requirement, you will receive your Hunter Education Completion Card in the mail from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.
