Rules for Good Hunting Behavior

  • Be a good neighbor. Ask permission whenever you hunt on private property!
  • Be a safe hunter. Know all basic safety rules, and follow them 100% of the time!
  • Obey all rules and regulations. Follow the law and the landowner's wishes!
  • Be responsible. Practice shooting before hunting season, but not on live game!

Being a good hunter is the same as being a good student, a good worker, or a good citizen. Everybody knows the "Golden Rule," but not everybody applies it as often as they should! Non-hunters will judge all hunters by your actions. What kind of hunter do you want to be? Will you be a good citizen when you're afield?
