This is a bow mounted on a rifle type stock, and it generally has not been legal for bowhunting in Washington. Some states allow all hunters to use crossbows. In Washington, hunters with disabilities may be able to use a crossbow under certain conditions if they obtain a special-use permit from WDFW. In addition, Washington allows modern firearm tag holders to hunt with a crossbow with mounted scope during modern firearm seasons in firearm restriction areas. Please refer to the hunting regulations for up-to-date rules on the use of crossbows.
