6.4 Selecting the Right Carrying Position

Let's say there are three hunters following each other. Which carries could the first hunter safely use? Which carries could the second hunter safely use? How about the third hunter?

Three hunters following each other.

Assume that these same three hunters were walking side-by-side. Which carries could the hunter on the left safely use? Which carries could the hunter on the right safely use? How about the one in the middle?

Remember that your gun will feel heavier at the end of the day. Why? Because you will be tired of walking and carrying it. Be especially careful to carry your gun safely and unload it when you are tired. If you are tired, stop and rest. Don’t be unsafe just because you may be tired!
