Missouri Hunter Education Course

Welcome to the official online hunter education course of the Missouri Department of Conservation. Taking a hunting course will allow you to comply with Missouri hunter education law and will also make you a safer and more knowledgeable hunter.

It's simple! Simple and self-paced—This hunter education course is user-friendly and self-directed. Study as much as you need to know, as slowly or quickly as you like to learn!
It's fun! Have fun learning with interactive animations, like this movie about how a firearm works.
It's official! When you're ready, take the official Field Day Qualifier Exam. Pay $15.00 – collected whether you pass or fail.

Upon passing, receive your Missouri Field Day Qualifier Certificate, which allows you to attend a day of field activities required to complete the certification process.

You can see a list of Field Days before taking the course. However, you may not register for a Field Day until after you pass the Field Day Qualifier Exam. Keep in mind that Field Days with current openings may fill up before you complete your course and exam. Your Field Day Qualifier Certificate is good for 365 days. You must register online. Registration closes for each Field Day seven days prior to its scheduled date, or immediately upon being filled.
