Official Missouri Hunting Safety Course Link to Missouri Department of Conservation

Hello, hunter! Missouri's online hunting course has moved. Click here to go to the latest version of the Today's Hunter in Missouri course—the official hunting safety course of the Missouri Department of Conservation.

The following course material is for reference only. Please go to the new course to complete your Missouri certification.

Finding Food

Humans can go for two weeks or more without food. Although the need for food is not that urgent, you’ll be more comfortable and clear-headed if you eat. Anywhere there is game, there is food, but probably not what you’re accustomed to eating.

Before you head into a remote area, it’s a good idea to learn what’s edible in that particular region. Hopefully, you’ll be able to use your hunting equipment to harvest the bulk of your food.
