Black powders for muzzleloaders

Black powder is made of potassium nitrate (saltpeter), sulfur, and charcoal, and comes in four sizes. Black powder substitutes also can be used in amounts equal to black powder.

Note: Modern “smokeless” powders create much higher pressures than most muzzleloaders are capable of handling and can cause serious injury.

Do not use smokeless powder
