Allow your fingers to open quickly away from the string. This gives the arrow a straight, stable flight.

Do not grasp the bow tightly, and allow the bow to roll forward with the string release; remain pointing in the target’s direction. If the bow is held too tightly or jerked on release, the arrow will fly off target.

Releasing the bowstring

Follow through by leaving your drawing hand at the anchor point well after the string is released.
