Missouri Hunter Field Day Information

In order to complete the hunter education requirements for Missouri, you must pass both the online and Field Day portions of the Hunter Ed Safety Course.

Follow the steps below to complete the certification process.

  1. Before Completing and Paying for the Online Course…

Since Field Day options are limited, please ensure that a Field Day is offered in your area before taking the online course. View the Missouri Field Day schedule.

Field Days can fill quickly and completion of this online course does not guarantee you a spot at a Field Day.

You do not have to pay for the online course until after you've passed the course final exam. You may retake the exam for free until you pass.

  2. Complete the Online Course…

Register for the online course, complete the online course, and print out your Field Day Qualifier Certificate. After completing the online course, you will be given a link that allows you to register online for a Field Day.

  3. Attend the Field Day

You must bring your Field Day Qualifier Certificate to the Field Day to be admitted. You also should bring a sack lunch and drink to your Field Day.

At the Field Day you must successfully complete the remaining course requirements, which include: i) several hours of review; ii) a written multiple-choice test (80% or better required to pass); and iii) a hands-on demonstration test (80% or better required to pass).

Youth under 16 must attend with an adult. Youth under 16 must provide proof of age (birth certificate, school ID, etc.), and those 16 and older must have valid picture ID.

After successfully completing the Field Day, you will be issued your Missouri Hunter Education Certificate by the Missouri Department of Conservation.
