Louisiana Hunter Field Day Information

In order to complete the hunter education requirements for Louisiana, you must pass both the online and Field Day portions of the Hunter Ed Safety Course.

Since Field Day options are limited, please ensure that a Field Day is offered in your area before taking the online exam. Field Days can fill quickly and completion of this online course does not guarantee you a spot at a Field Day.

Follow the steps below to complete the certification process.

  1. After Passing the Online Course…

    Students must attend a Field Day in order to complete the certification process.

  2. Sign-up for a Field Day…

    You can view the Louisiana DWF online calendar for opportunities to attend a Field Day in your area. (You will be given a link that allows you to register for a Field Day after you pass the online course.)

  3. Attend the Field Day

    Bring your Field Day Qualifier Voucher to the Field Day. After successfully completing the Field Day, you'll receive your Lousiana Hunter Education Certificate.
