About the Course and Hunting License Requirements
 Under Colorado
hunting law, every hunter born on or after January 1, 1949, must successfully complete
a hunter education course. The minimum age for certification
is 10 years. A hunting
license and proof of certification is required to be on your
person while hunting.
Online Hunter Education Home Study Steps
- Enroll in an Internet-Based Hunter Education Course.
- Find a course. Look for courses titled INTERNET-BASED Hunter Education Course.
- Review the information and instructions included with each course offering.
 Once enrolled, study the online Colorado hunter safety course. - Take one or more Practice
Tests as many times as you like—free of charge.
- Take the Colorado Online Exam for $19.50—one time only, after you pass.
- Print your Colorado Conclusion Class Voucher, which is accepted by the state as proof of completing the online material.
- Complete the course with your instructor by attending a course conclusion class.
- After successful completion of these steps,
you will receive your Colorado hunter education certification.
