California Hunter Safety Course and Hunting License Test

Welcome to the official online hunting safety course developed for the California Department of Fish and Game. Taking a hunting course will allow you to comply with California hunter education law and will also make you a safer and more knowledgeable hunter.

	Simple and self-paced—This hunter safety course is user-friendly and self-directed. Study as much as you need to know, as slowly or quickly as you like to learn!
	Have fun learning with interactive animations, like this movie about how a firearm works.
	When you're ready, take the official Pre-Certification Exam for only $15. Upon passing, receive your California Pre-Certification Exam Voucher, which allows you to attend a day of field activities required to complete the certification process.
