Official Alaska Online Muzzleloader Certification Course
About the Course and Hunting License Requirements
Welcome to the official online muzzleloader education course of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Under Alaska hunting law, hunters wanting to participate in any “Restricted Weapons Hunt” must obtain the appropriate certification for the weapon to be used, e.g. muzzleloader or archery. These certification courses are not Basic Hunter Education Courses. Certain hunt areas may require both courses so be sure to check the current regulations before hunting.
